ADMISSION SECTION

• Application Process: This is the initial step where interested candidates submit their applications. The process typically involves filling out an online or physical application form, providing personal details, educational history, and often an essay or statement of purpose.

• Eligibility Criteria: Diploma engineering programs have specific eligibility criteria that applicants must meet. These criteria may include minimum educational qualifications, age limits, and sometimes even specific subject prerequisites as per SCTE&VT

• Candidates should have passed HSC examination or class 10 examination declared equivalent by BSE

• They should have obtained at least 35% marks in aggregate, with at least 30% marks in each subject with English, Math and Science subjects in the qualifying examination.

• Candidates should be at least 14 year old or above 

• Reservation and Quotas: In many regions, there are reservations or quotas for certain categories of applicants, such as those from socially disadvantaged backgrounds, indigenous communities, or specific gender groups. The admission section ensures that these guidelines are followed while admitting students.

• Odia candidates living in outlying Odia-speaking areas fall under this category. 0.5% of the total seats are reserved for such candidates.

•  Candidates have to visit the official website at https://www.samsodisha.gov.in/ and click on the link to register for Odisha diploma 2023 admission.                                                                                              

•  Basic details like name, mobile number, and email ID have to be entered at this time. Candidates will receive an OTP on their registered mobile number to create a new password for further logins. Candidates will also receive their username on their registered email ID and mobile number.

• After successful registration, candidates have to enter other personal, communication, and educational details after logging in using their username and password.

• Document Verification: Once a candidate is selected, the admission section verifies the authenticity of the submitted documents, such as educational certificates, identification proofs, and any other relevant documents.

• Fee Payment: After the selection process is complete, candidates are required to pay the tuition fees and any other associated charges. The admission section handles the financial transactions and provides necessary information to the admitted students.

• Orientation and Induction: The admission section often coordinates the orientation and induction programs for the newly admitted students. These sessions provide an overview of the program, campus facilities, rules and regulations, and academic expectations.
